SAINT PAUL, MN – The City of Saint Paul, in coordination with Ramsey County, will reopen Shepard Road/Warner Road to vehicle, bicycle and pedestrian traffic on Monday, May 15 by 6 p.m. Saint Paul and Ramsey County Public Works crews have cleared debris and inspected the road and its underlying structures to determine that it’s safe to reopen to all traffic.
In conjunction with the reopening of Shepard Road/Warner Road, Sibley and Jackson Streets will also reopen from Shepard Road to Kellogg Boulevard to vehicle traffic.
Water Street, located along the south side of the Mississippi River, along with several park areas and facilities, will remain closed until the required inspection, testing, and clean up has been completed. Shepard Road/Warner Road was closed on April 16 due to anticipated spring flooding. According to the National Weather Service, the Mississippi River water levels in Saint Paul crested at 18.24 feet on April 27, flooding a portion of Shepard Road. River levels continue to decline and are currently below minor flood stage levels.
