Ramsey County yard waste sites experience heavy traffic during the fall. To avoid a wait, consider the following tips:
- Visit yard waste sites on Mondays, Wednesdays or Fridays. Avoid the first hour of opening since there is almost always a rush. If you need to go on a weekend, Saturday mornings between 9:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. can be less busy.
- Avoid fall weekends with warm, dry weather.
- Visit the sites during cold or rainy weather or when the Vikings are playing.
- If possible, hold on to your collected yard waste until the end of the season. Traffic at the sites decreases significantly after the third weekend in November.
