Join Kate Phillips as she shares the history and the multiple traditions of Indigenous Peoples’ Day, traditionally celebrated on the second Monday in October.

Katrina Phillips is a citizen of the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Ojibwe. She teaches Native American history and the history of the American West at Macalester College.

This program is co-sponsored by the East Side Freedom Library as part of the series Making Minnesota: Natives, Settlers, Migrants, and Immigrants.
