Rising home prices in St. Paul in the first half of 2022

The median sale price of a home sold in the first half of 2022 in St. Paul rose by $21,000 while total sales decreased by 7.3 percent, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through June, there were 1,760 homes sold, with a median sale price of $273,500 - an 8.3 percent increase over the $252,500 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 1,898 homes sold in St. Paul in the first half of 2021.

The median sales tax in St. Paul for the most recent year with available data, 2019, was $3,106, approximately 1.1 percent of the median home sale price for the first half of 2022.
