City Of Arden Hills issued the following announcement on Sept. 2.
Beginning the evening of Tuesday, September 8, motorists will encounter traffic changes on northbound I-35W between Roseville and Blaine. As drivers on northbound I-35W approach Co. Rd. C, they will need to choose between the left lane, which is a through lane with no exits, or choose to stay in the right lanes to access local exits.
- Starting on Tue, Sept. 8, crews will put into place the first phase of traffic changes between Roseville and New Brighton.
- Drivers who want to exit to the local roads of Co. Rd. C, Co. Rd. D, Co. Rd. E2 and both eastbound and westbound I-694 will need to remain in the right two lanes.
- Drivers who are traveling further north can use the left lane, which will not have access to local roads. This through lane will be separated by concrete barriers.
Crews will be putting into place similar traffic changes on northbound I-35W between New Brighton and Blaine later in September. Stay tuned for additional details in the coming weeks.
These traffic changes will remain in place through spring 2021.
I-35W ramps reopen
Good news! Crews completed the work on the ramp from Lexington Ave. to northbound I-35W and the ramp reopened on Mon, Aug. 31. Crews are also wrapping up their work on the ramp from Co. Rd. D to southbound I-35W and hope to have the ramp back open in the next week.
All construction activities and closures are weather permitting and subject to change.
Road work continues to be a critical service. MnDOT is committed to protecting the health, safety and well-being of its employees, contractors and all Minnesotans. Crews continue to follow the guidance of state and federal health officials to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.
