MCA and MTAS: How many Roseville Public School District students took their Math tests in 2021-22 school year?

Roseville Public School District ranked fourth in the Ramsey County for test participation, with 3,276 students taking the Math portion of the Minnesota Comprehensive Assessment and the Minnesota Test of Academic Skills in the 2021-22 school year, according to the Minnesota Department of Education.

The number of Roseville Public School District students taking the tests in the 2021-22 school year rose by 41.3% over the previous year.

Roseville Public School District's students achieved an average Math proficiency rate of 38% in 2021-22 school year.

Fourth grade students stood out with 20% of them exceeding standards in Math, which was the highest recorded proficiency at the district.

On the other hand, eighth grade students had the most room for improvement, with 48% not meeting the expected standards.

Roseville Public School District encompasses schools within Ramsey County and has a main office in Roseville.

Minnesota students take the MCA annually (or the MTAS, for students with cognitive disabilities) to determine their academic readiness. Not every grade is tested each year.

Analysis from the Nation’s Report Card showed Math and Reading scores have fallen significantly in the last decade. Science scores have been steady in recent years.

Minnesota Department of Education issues could lead to data irregularities.
