When they arrived, officers found an adult male in the home suffering from apparent stab wounds. Saint Paul Fire medics responded and pronounced him dead.
Officers began to try to determine what occurred and secured the scene until members of the homicide, forensic services and video management units could arrive.
A search of the neighborhood revealed a possible suspect. This adult male suspect was brought to our headquarters and will be booked into the Ramsey County jail on suspicion of murder.
The Ramsey County medical examiner will conduct an autopsy to positively identify the victim and determine an exact cause of death. This information, along with any updates on the case, will be released on the Saint Paul Police Department Twitter account, @sppdmn.
This is the 16th homicide of the year in Saint Paul.
