Keith lattimore

Ramsey County issued the following announcement.

Keith Lattimore has been hired as the first Director of Ramsey County’s Housing Stability Department. The department’s focus is to consolidate housing services and programs and

reduce racially-based economic disparities in Ramsey County. In this new position, Mr. Lattimore will be responsible for building the department and working collaboratively with a

number of partners, including those who provide direct services in support of people experiencing homelessness, state, regional and local government and Ramsey County’s

Community and Economic Development Department to provide programs and services across the housing continuum – from emergency housing to long-term stability. The

department will be located within the Economic Growth and Community Investment Service Team and Mr. Lattimore will report to Deputy County Manager Johanna Berg.

Lattimore currently serves as Director of the MNChoices and Aging & Disability Services division of Social Services and has served as Operations Chief for the Homelessness and

Housing Stability Branch of the county’s Incident Management Team during the COVID-19 pandemic. He joined Ramsey County Community Corrections in 1998 as a Correctional

Officer and was promoted several times, including serving as the superintendent of Boys Totem Town for several years.

“Keith has the ideal combination of subject matter and leadership expertise to lead this new department and I’m excited to welcome him into this new role,” said Berg. “Hiring Keith

into this position is a key milestone in the collaborative work between our Health and Wellness and Economic Growth and Community Investment Service Teams to establish a new

Housing Stability Department."

“I’m looking forward to the opportunity to build this new department in collaboration with a strong team of partners,” said Lattimore. “This is an important step to better position and

align our organization’s resources to best help those experiencing homelessness and combat our housing crisis.”

Lattimore holds a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice / sociology and business administration from St. Cloud State University and is studying toward a Master of Business

Administration degree at Ashworth College. He lives in Blaine with his wife and three children.
