Updated information regarding COVID-19 and Night to Unite 2020:

Due to the ongoing pandemic of COVID-19, Night to Unite originally held the first Tuesday in August has been rescheduled to Tuesday, October 6, 2020.

To register your block party, complete the form available at https://www.falconheights.org/residents/city-events/night-to-unite. You may request a drive-by visit from city council members and/or members of the Fire Department, as well as street blockades if necessary. Ramsey County Sheriff's Department will not be participating in Night to Unite this year due to COVID-19. Play kits offered through the City will not be available for rental due to COVID-19.

List of activities that involve physical distancing:

  • Light up your house/apartment with tea lights, Christmas lights, etc. Walk the neighborhood and view the light display.
  • Host a physically-distanced happy hour outdoors in a driveway, garden or front-yard.
  • Coordinate a scavenger hunt looking for pictures in neighbors' windows. Check off items on a bingo card.
  • Organize a chalk walk contest. Neighbors can create art with sidewalk chalk in their driveway. Walk around the neighborhood and vote on your favorite, or have neighbors be the judges. Offer a prize to the winner.
  • Get your neighborhood together and sing. Sing in a line in the middle of the road stretching down the block, and sing patriotic songs like Take Me Out to the Ballgame, America the Beautiful, or In the Good Old Summer Time.
  • Organize a bean bag or beach ball toss, starting at one end of the block, tossing back and forth, and see how long the toss-off can last.
