City Of Arden Hills issued the following announcement on July 15.
Two City Council Member seats will be up for election this fall. The two seats will be for four-year terms (2021-2024).
If you are interested in running for one of the open seats, you must file an Affidavit of Candidacy. Candidate filing packets also are available at City Hall. To request a paper packet, contact the City Clerk at 651-792-7811. Candidates may also file by appointment, drop-in visit, mail or electronically at the Ramsey County Elections Office—located at 90 Plato Blvd. W—weekdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and until 5:00 p.m. on Tues., August 11. Visit rcelections.org for options to file affidavits of candidacy with COVID-19 public health guidelines in place.
The filing period will open on Tuesday, July 28 at 8:00 a.m. and will close on Tuesday, August 11 at 5:00 p.m. The cost to file is $2 and can be paid with cash, check or online.
Candidates may withdraw from the ballot by filing an affidavit of withdrawal at any time during the filing period and through Thursday, August 13 at 5:00 p.m. Filing fees are not refundable.
