Vote by Mail

Visit the Minnesota Secretary of State to register to vote, check your registration status, or request an absentee ballot to vote by mail for both the state primary and the general election. Ballots will be mailed to home addresses. You can track a ballot to make sure it’s been received and counted after voting.

Those who previously requested an absentee ballot by mail can expect to receive their ballot soon as those mailings begin Friday, June 26.

Due to recent case law, the requirement to have a witness sign your ballot has been removed, so your mail-in ballot only requires you to sign it.

Voting for the November 3 General Election begins Friday, Sept. 18. Additional in-person voting locations will be added.
