CITY OF ARDEN HILLS: Participate in City Council and Planning Commission Meetings Virtually

Videoconference

City Of Arden Hills issued the following announcement on May 7.

To maintain its commitment to robust public participation, all City Council and Planning Commission meetings will allow council and commission members, staff and the public to participate virtually in response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the interest of protecting the health and safety of the community, the city has devised multiple ways for the public to participate remotely in the city meetings before and during the live meeting.

Public comment prior to a meeting

Members of the public interested in providing comment to the City Council prior to a meeting have two options:

1. Send an email to the Mayor and City Council

2. Send an email to City Staff3. Mail comments into City Hall prior to the meeting (1245 Highway 96 West, Arden Hills, MN 55112)

Written public comments will be compiled and delivered to all City Council members.

Members of the public interested in providing comment to the Planning Commission prior to a meeting can:1. Send an email to planning@cityofardenhills.org

2. Mail comments into City Hall prior to the meeting (1245 Highway 96 West, Arden Hills, MN 55112)

Written public comments will be compiled and delivered to all the Planning Commission members.

ONLY USE ZOOM IF YOU WISH TO MAKE A PUBLIC COMMENT, IF YOU ARE JUST OBSERVING THE MEETING REFER TO “HOW TO WATCH A MEETING” below.

For each meeting, the Zoom link can be found on our website’s calendar and on the published agenda.

Members of the public who wish to comment during public comment periods will be asked to join the meeting on the Zoom platform. Meeting attendees should click the raise hand button if using their computer during the appropriate comment period to alert city staff that they would like to comment. Individuals will be recognized and their microphones will be enabled allowing them to comment.

How to watch a meeting

Members of the public who do not intend to provide public comment but who are still interested in watching a meeting are encouraged to do so via the city’s regular outlets. All Arden Hills City Council and Planning Commission meetings are streamed live and available via playback. Meetings are also televised on Comcast Channel 16 to Arden Hills’ cable subscribers. Ongoing updates

The city’s decision to conduct April City Council and Planning Commission meetings virtually is being done as a community mitigation effort designed to help slow the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus. City officials are continuously monitoring and assessing the status of the pandemic locally and following the guidance of state health officials regarding the potential for future changes to city operations and activities. Please check the city’s COVID-19 website at cityofardenhills.org/coronavirus often for the most current updates and information.
