New Brighton home prices rise in the third quarter of 2018

The median sale price of a home sold in the third quarter of 2018 in New Brighton rose by $38,700 while total sales increased by 14.5%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From July through September of 2018, there were 71 homes sold, with a median sale price of $287,000 - a 15.6% increase over the $248,300 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 62 homes sold in New Brighton in the third quarter of 2017.

The median sales tax in New Brighton for 2018 was $3,317. In 2017, the median sales tax was $3,078. This marks an increase of 7.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.2%.
