Lauderdale home prices fall in the first quarter of 2019

The median sale price of a home sold in the first quarter of 2019 in Lauderdale fell by $24,000 while total sales decreased by 44.4%, according to BlockShopper.com.

From January through March of 2019, there were five homes sold, with a median sale price of $147,000 - a 14% decrease over the $171,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were nine homes sold in Lauderdale in the first quarter of 2018.

The median sales tax in Lauderdale for 2019 was $2,721. In 2018, the median sales tax was $2,520. This marks an increase of 8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 1.9%.
