City of Maplewood issued the following announcement on March 12
The health and safety of our community members and our staff and their families is a priority for the City of Maplewood.
Therefore, effective immediately, the City of Maplewood will be closing City Hall, the 1902 facility, the Wakefield Community Building, and the Nature Center to public access. Essential services will continue without interruption. City employees will be available by telephone and email during this closure.
This community mitigation effort is designed to protect the health of our municipal workforce and community members using our facilities. It also helps in ensuring our emergency first responders can continue to provide mission-critical functions so community members have ready access to 911 services for police, fire, and EMS response. Further, we need to assure that operators for our municipal water supply, sanitary sewer, and infrastructure maintenance remain available and healthy to report for work.
