State Sen. Roger Chamberlain discusses the most important subjects that the legislature will be focusing on this year.
According to him, the legislature is mindful of what the people want. Chamberlain stated that the legislature has recently began to address the people's issues and concerns.
“There is a lot on our plate and a lot of people want a lot of things done," he said in a video message on Facebook last month.
Chamberlain said that economy and tax cuts were the cornerstones of vision 2020. The Minnesota legislature is focused on tax cut plans to relieve farmers and small business owners as well as getting the state tax code in line with the Federal Tax Code.
Another important point for vision 2020 is to curb urban crimes and promote safety in classrooms. The state legislature is focused on increasing the capacity of local police as a number of concerns have been raised on the subject.
