North Memorial Health issued the following announcement on Feb. 19.
For American Heart Month, we’re joining the National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (NHLBI) and The Heart Truth to spread the word that reducing the risks of heart disease is more achievable when you’re part of a team. Not getting enough sleep or regularly getting poor quality sleep increases the risk of having high blood pressure, heart disease and other medical conditions. Most adults need 7-8 hours of sleep per night, so find a friend or family member and hold each other accountable to follow healthy sleep practices like having a regular bedtime and not eating late at night. #OurHearts are healthier when we work together.
