Ramsey County issued the following announcement on Jan. 15.
Ramsey County voters may choose to vote early by using an absentee ballot in advance of the presidential primary on Tuesday, March 3. Residents can cast their ballot in person or vote by mail from Jan. 17 to March 2.
In-person voting is available at three locations:
- Ramsey County Elections Office: Mon. to Fri., 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
- New Brighton Community Center: Mon. to Fri., 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
- Ramsey County Library - Roseville: Mon. to Fri., 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Selecting a ballot
Only presidential candidates from a major party will appear on the presidential primary ballot. A voter must request the ballot of the party of their choice. If a voter refuses to select a party, they will not be able to vote in the presidential primary. A voter’s choice of party ballot will be recorded and is private data. However, a list of who voted in a presidential primary and the political party each voter selected will be provided to the chair of each major political party. How a voter voted on the ballot will be secret.
Additional early voting locations will be available Feb. 25 - March 2.
