City Of Shoreview issued the following announcement on Sept. 23.

We're now accepting Adopt-a-Trail applications! The Adopt-a-Trail volunteer program is available to residents and businesses in Shoreview on a first-come, first-served basis. Volunteers can sign up to adopt a trail for a two-year term and will:

• Clean up trail twice a year
• Pick up any trash or litter on or next to trails
• Report any vandalism of trail or other public infrastructure
• Coordinate trash bags with Shoreview Public Works

Adopted trails will be marked with a custom-made sign with the group or individual's name. Adopt-a-Trail is a great way to get involved in the community and enjoy the scenic trails throughout Shoreview.
